Over the course of each swimming year the Dolphin Swimming Cub will host a minimum of two home swim meets at the St. John’s College swimming pool (25 meter facility) and one meet at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Center (50 meter facility). Additional competitions are organized by the other swimming clubs allowing swimmers numerous opportunities to compete each year. Members of the IYS, IYS2 and Competitive programs are encouraged to participate in all swim meets. Entry fees for all inter club swimming meets are included in the annual club fees for the competitive program. IYS and IYS2 swimmers are required to pay an entry fee for each event they the wish to swim. Entry fees are approximately $4.00 per event.
The Bahamas Swimming Federation (BSF) also organizes and hosts the annual Bahamas National Swimming Championships at the Betting Kelly Kenning Aquatic Center (National Aquatic Center). The Bahamas National Swimming Championships is the largest national swimming event and swimmers hoping to participate must qualify to compete.
Swimmers may also be selected by the BSF to become members of the National Training Squad. National Training Squad members are required to train with National Team at the Aquatic Center on selected days and will represent the Bahamas at international or nationally hosted international competitions.
