All members of The Dolphin Swimming Club competitive program are viewed as the club’s elite athletes in their respective age groups and represent the best of the team in skill and team spirit. Competitive class swimmers are proficient in all strokes and are skilled in the various competition turning, starting and finishing techniques. Swimmers of this level strive to master the various forms and techniques required for competitive swimming and have the added responsibility of pushing themselves and their teammates to achieve their personal goals.

In their pursuit for excellence Competitive class swimmers will utilize advance training and conditioning techniques to improve and enhance their overall ability and stroke efficiency. Depending on the age of the swimmer emphasis will be placed on developing awareness of personal best times and personal goals. Attendance, training habits and physical conditioning are stressed as the key components for success and each swimmer is encouraged to challenge them to become the very best swimmer in their age group.

Swimmers from the competitive program will ultimately strive to secure places on the Bahamas National team thereby affording them an invaluable opportunity to compete against some of the region’s best swimmers. In addition The Dolphin Swimming Club competitive program has over the years produced many swimmers who have gone on to secure university scholarships thereby enabling them to compete at the University level and some of whom have gone on to represent The Bahamas at the Pan American Games, World Games and ultimately the Olympic Games.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE: Monday through Saturday

(Weekdays) 5:00 – 7:00 pm;
(Saturdays) 8:00 – 11:00 am;
(Mornings) Mon/Wed/Thurs 5:30-6:30am.

COST:

1. Annual Payment:
$705.00 payable upon enrollment (includes Bahamas Swimming Federation (BSF) and Dolphin Swimming Club (DSC) Enrollment Fee); or

2. Term Payment: (Installment option):

Term 1. $275.00 payable upon enrollment (inludes BSF & DSC Enrollment Fee).
Term 2. $255.00 payable within 7 days of start of second Swim Term.
Term 3. $255.00 payable within 7 Days of start of third Swim Term.

(Note: The exact dates for ‘Swim Terms’ will be determined at the beginning of the Swim Year but will generally run as follows: Term 1. Sept/Dec; Term 2. Jan/Mar; Term 3. Apr/Jun.)
